Summer School
Yeah It ain't pretty. I've started summer school on June the 1st at the University of Central Arkansas. I'm there to take an Investments course to help fulfill one of my recommended courses for my finance concentration. Just registered an account at Stocktrak.com and I have to understand finance concepts such as HPR, capital gains, Maintainence margin, and a lot of other terms. So far, it's only note taking and reading the book.

VEGAS - Part 1
Been here since Tuesday. Currently staying at the Uncle's house. I'm here less than three weeks shy of my 21st bday. Too bad I couldn't hit up the clubs yet or drink.
However, I went walking around the strip, giving me a great exercise for my feet. The Miracle Mall is one of the best shopping malls in Vegas..,,just copped myself a couple of shirts at the MetroPark store. The Fashion Show Mall is also piff with over 250 stores.
The Premium Outlet Mall is a must go-to destination for shopping at a budget. Copped myself an RL Polo and a couple shirts from Levi's.
So basically it's all shopping and exploring so far.

Sofapalooza
Friday night, April, 24th, 2009. It was CBU's 8th annual Sofapalooza. It was held at the Boshwit courtyard near the basketball arena. This was the second Sofapalooza I've attended as a studennt at CBU. This year, it was arguably better. Local rock bands such as The Fundamental Elements and Black Child started off the show. Most importantly, Memphis' own Al Kapone came on stage to perform for the CBU crowd. If you don't know who Al Kapone is, he is associated with the legendary southern rap group Three 6 Mafia and is best known for producing the hit "Whoop Dat Trick" in the movie Hustle and Flow. His performance tore down the CBU house last night. Poppin' Tags, and Who on Deck got the CBU students crunk and buck as fuck. Even Al Kapone let some of our girls get on stage. It was one of the best events I have ever been too.

My Life at CBU
So, I've decided to hop on the blogging bandwagon and air out what's currently on my mind. I'm currently a junior at Christian Brothers University in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee. My major is business administration with concentrations in accounting and finance. Every day, I am always wondering and worrying about my future after college. Graduate school is on my mind, and so is getting a high-paying job. What can I do to achieve those goals? The college environment is obviously a tough setting to slowly adapt to. Not only I must focus on my work, but I also must establish relationships and connections between my fellow students, professors, and other faculty to aid me in my future.
2009 has provided a corner for my academic improvement during my 3 years so far. At the end of 2008, I had a 2.76 cumulative GPA. I'm currently on scholarship, and that number indicates that I must improve my academic standing in order maintain that academic reward and to have a legitimate position in the workplace as I grow older. After Spring 2009 midterms, I received 2 A's in Marketing Policy and Management seminar leadership. The classes that are remaining on my schedule this semester are Intermediate Microeconomics, Accounting Systems, and Management Business Policy. I am doing the homework and studying required to tackle the important tests and projects that are in the way of my academic road to success.
As St. Gregory Nazianzen said: "Teaching is food, even for the teacher" The studies I receive feeds my development in becoming a better student at Christian Brothers University as well as prepares me for a positive and optimistic future.
